Raspberry Pi 3 Model B designed as the earliest model of the third-generation Raspberry Pi. This model features a powerful core processor 10x faster than the first-generation Raspberry Pi. Moreover, it adds up wireless LAN & Bluetooth connectivity making it the ideal solution for powerful connected designs. This updated version of Raspberry Pi comes with a credit-card-sized single-board computer used for a wide range of applications.
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B has the same features as before but with double the RAM and a much faster processor. The Raspberry Pi 3 has two major upgrades. The first is a next-generation Quad-Core Broadcom BCM2837 64-bit ARMv8 processor. This processor offers speeds of up to 1.2GHz compared to the previous 900MHz on the Pi 2. And the second upgrade is the addition of a built-in BCM43143 WiFi chip. It allows the Pi 3 to go wireless without additional peripherals. Hence no more WiFi adapters. The Raspberry Pi 3 is also an excellent IoT solution with onboard Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
This Raspberry Pi 3 – Model B comes with an Original quad-core 1.2GHz 64Bit SoC and onboard WiFi and Bluetooth. As a result, the same footprint and layout as the previous Model 2/B+ version are applicable for Pi 3, so will fit all Model 2/B+ items. However, the addition of a WiFi & Bluetooth Antenna results in the ACT and PWR LEDs being moved to the opposite side of the SD card slot. Meanwhile, the cases for the 2/B+ with LED light pipes also fits the new RPi 3, but the light pipes will not match up with the LEDs.
Raspberry Pi 3 B is an upgraded version with High-Performance Quad-Core 64-bit BCM2837B0, Cortex A753 processor clocked at 1.4GHz speed. This model consumes less power or offers greater performance than its old version. This hardware developed for better performance not only the loading time with all-new 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM. But also in connectivity with Dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz, 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2, BLE.
