Bluetooth technology is defined as a short-distance communication technology used by almost all phones including smartphones and all laptops. This technology finds very wide uses including that of Home & Industrial automation. The Bluetooth relay shield is a combination of a Bluetooth shield and a relay shield. It establishes a Bluetooth connection to pin D2 and D3 and 4 different 5A relays the connection to the pins D4, D5, D6, and D7 pins of the Arduino UNO. The onboard LED in the module is used for relay and power supply indication.
The Relay Shield comes with four high-quality relays that can control high current loads to Arduino / Seeeduino boards. Thus it is a perfect solution for controlling devices that could not be directly controlled by Arduino’s Digital I/Os. This standardized shield form factor enables a smooth connection with Arduino and compatibles. The relay shield also comes with four LED indicators to show the on/off state of each relay.
The relay operates at a maximum switching voltage of 12A/250VAC or 15A/24VDC. It could be directly controlled by Arduino through digital IOs. The Arduino Bluetooth Relay 4 Channel supports the control of a 4-channel relay module via Bluetooth (HC-05, HC-06, HC-07 etc.) modules. The Bluetooth module is connected to Arduino’s RX pin 0 and TX pin 1. Meanwhile, Bluetooth Relays are ideal for mobile connectivity and automotive applications. Bluetooth Relays operates at a wireless range of 300 feet and can communicate directly to most mobile devices
