LM2904 operational amplifier designed with two independent, high-gain frequency-compensated operational amplifiers. This amplifier operates from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Thus widely used in conventional operational amplifier circuits that need to be operated from a single power rail. Operation via split supplies also possible if the difference between the two supplies is 3 V to 32 V, and VCC is at least ±1.5V to ±16V.
The LM2904 operational amplifiers that operate with only a single power supply voltage, provides true-differential inputs, and remain in the linear mode with an input common-mode voltage of 0 VDC. With little change in performance characteristics, these amplifiers can run over a wide variety of power supply voltages. Operation at 25°C is also achievable with a supply voltage as low as 2.3 VDC.
With a DC voltage gain of 100 dB, the LM2904 amplifier is a powerful amplifier. As a result, it’s suitable for a wide range of applications, such as transducer amplifiers and dc gain blocks. And all of the traditional op-amp circuits, which can now be implemented more readily in single-power supply systems. The series, for example, may be powered directly from the typical 3.3-V power supply voltage used in digital systems. Also, the interface electronics will be simply provided without the need for extra 15V power sources. Using TI’s DSBGA packing method, the LM2904 is packaged in a chip size package (8-Bump DSBGA).
The unity-gain bandwidth of the LM2904 Dual Operational Amplifier IC is 1MHz. The frequency range up to which a unity-gain amplifier may run without significantly distorting the signal is known as the unity-gain bandwidth. The slew rate refers to how quickly an operational amplifier may vary its output in response to changes in the input.
