This 2K2pf 2KV High Voltage Disc Capacitor designed as a non-polarized, linear disc-shaped capacitor. This ceramic capacitor widely used for power decoupling, having smooth power in your circuit, timing circuits, etc. A Ceramic Disc Capacitor defined as a fixed value Disc Capacitor in which ceramic material itself acts as the dielectric. It is made up ceramic of two or more alternating layers and a metal layer acting as the electrodes.
Ceramic disc capacitors generally used as safety capacitors in electromagnetic interference suppression applications. In addition, these large ceramic power capacitors also used for high voltage or high-frequency transmitter applications. The ceramic capacitor is basically a non-polarity device, which indicates that it does no have polarities. As a result, can be connected in any direction. Ceramic capacitors also used as general-purpose capacitor, because of their non-polarity and are available in a large variety of capacitances, voltage ratings, and sizes.
