This 5V DC 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor is designed a compact-sized, low cost, and high-quality geared step motor. The 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor comes with a ULN2003 Stepper Motor Driver IC which controls the stability and reliability of the system. The 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor is designed as a 5-wire unipolar stepper motor that runs on 5 volts.
ULN2003 is defined as a Mini Stepper Motor Driver consisting of an array of 7 Darlington transistor pairs, each pair is capable of driving loads of up to 500mA and 50V. And used to amplify the control signals from the Arduino, in order to drive the 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor. When a certain pulse is fed to the ULN2003 stepper driver, it will drive the step motor to a certain angle. The number of stepper motor driver pulses controls the Stepper Motor movement angle. The onboard four LEDs indicate the status of the four control input lines.
The 5V DC 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor offers a reduction ratio of 64:1, providing a decent torque for its size at speeds of about 15 RPM. During full step mode, each step corresponds to a rotation of 11.25°means there are 32 steps per revolution (360°/11.25° = 32).  power These motors can be positioned accurately, one ‘step’ at a time. The other advantage is that they are relatively precise in their movement and they are quite reliable since the motor does not use contact brushes. They offer high torque even in the stand-still state which is maintained as long as power is supplied to the motor. The only drawback is that they consume power even when they are not moving. Hence power consumption of the motor is around 240mA.
