IL91214A designed as a tone/pulse dialer explicitly for providing standard DTMF or pulse signals. The ICs capable to generate standard DTMF or pulse signals of dialing as well as “flash” pulses. And also store and redial the last number and generate pause in the transmitted package of dial signals. These IC s offer wide range of applications in telephone sets.
Pulse dialing designed as an easy dialing method to emulate a rotary dial telephone. This pulse dialing method technically determined by how the rotary dial of the phone works. When the caller picks up the receiver and operates the rotary dial, it disconnects the loop between the phone. And therefore exchange at a selected frequency and at defined intervals based on the number dialed. The analog exchange switch uses these disconnections to work out which phone number the subscriber dialed and forwards these to the so-called rotary switch as current pulses. A particular pause between the individual numbers must be maintained for proper signaling.
Even analog phones with push-buttons typically support the pulse method. The devices often flexibly configured for the this method and multi-frequency signaling. This pulse dialing method mentioned as in-band signaling, since the telephone number transmitted over the voice channel and heard by the subscriber.
APPLICATIONS
- Used in telephones inorde to store and redial the last number and to generate standard DTMF signals.
