MAX7219 Mini Dot Matrix LED Display Module
MAX7219 mini 8×8 dot matrix LED display module with SPI interface—ideal for scrolling text, symbols, and Arduino projects.
The MAX7219 Mini Dot Matrix LED Display Module is a compact and versatile display module designed for scrolling text, symbols, and simple graphics. Powered by the MAX7219 LED driver IC, it allows easy control of an 8×8 LED dot matrix using a simple serial interface.
The MAX7219 handles multiplexing and current regulation internally, reducing the load on the microcontroller and ensuring consistent brightness across all LEDs. It supports SPI-like communication and requires only three control pins (DIN, CLK, CS), making it ideal for projects with limited I/O pins.
This mini dot matrix module is fully compatible with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller platforms. It is widely used in scrolling message boards, digital indicators, clocks, counters, and DIY display projects.
