Mini data logger module logging shield for Raspberry Pi/Arduino designed specifically for saving data to files on any FAT16 or FAT32 formatted SD card. Any plotting, spreadsheet or analysis program could read this easily. An additional 3.3v level shifter circuitry added to the module prevents the SD card from being damaged. Real-Time Clock in the module keeps the time going even when the Arduino is unplugged and even the battery backup lasts for years.
The Onboard 3.3v regulator is both a reliable reference voltage and also reliably runs SD cards that require a lot of power to run. This module support Arduino UNO, Duemilanove, Diecimila, Leonardo, or ADK/Mega R3 or higher versions. But ADK/Mega R2 or lower is not supported. This Mini data logger module logging shield offers a wide range of features such as
- Real-Time Clock Module
A very popular DS1307 battery-backed real-time clock (RTC) is included in the shield. This RTC consists of the accurate track of the data and time lasting for years, even when the shield is not powered.
- SD Card Reader
A standard SD card reader up to 32GB in size is provided. It allows FAT16 or FAT32 formatted SD cards to be read or written. And it is compatible with the standard SD card library. An additional 3.3v level shifter circuitry added to the module prevents the SD card from being damaged.
- Prototyping area
A very useful prototyping area on a standard 0.1″ pitch consisting of a grid of pads provide an area to add your own components such as sensors to interface to your Arduino board.
- LED’s L1 & L2
There are two additional LEDs on the module. These added on the module mapped to any of your Arduino’s digital pins for use as visual indicators.
