The TM1637 4 Digits 7 Segment Led Display Module is designed with a Clock explicitly for Arduino. This module is an affordable solution for displaying the output data of the Arduino project more easily and conveniently. Although it can display only numbers, still it allows users to display some characters too like A, B, C, etc. This 7 segment LED Display comes with 4 digits which are controlled by TM1637 Driver Chip. Two connections are required to control this TM1637 4 Digits 7 Segment Led Display Module. The module communicates via I2C Bus and can control it using only 2 wires, leaving more pins available on your MicroController to connect other things. Hence, this is the main reason the module is preferred over other modules.
The TM1637 LCD module was designed as a 12-foot clock with four common anode tubes (0.36 inches) with only two signal lines to make the MCU control four 7-segment digital tubes. Wide varieties of modules use this TM1637 chip to form a 4 digit numerical display module. Moreover, it also features keyboard input capability but is not used in this module. The TM1637 LCD module design is robust so it can sustain in tough environments and still can perform its function for a long time. And also it consumes low power and can be installed in mobile applications.
