30W LM2587 Step-Up Voltage Module steps up voltage from its input to output by stepping down the current. This power converter will convert an input 3.5V-30V to an output 4V-40V at 5A capacity. So this module is suitable for the application which requires a highly efficient power drive. In the 30W LM2587, the output voltage is always less than the input voltage. High-Efficiency Pulse Skipping Mode for Light Load helps to achieve high efficiency of 95%. This converter provides an output power of 30W and an output current of 5A. This module is ideal for a 24V car power laptop power supply.
30W LM2587 has a single-turn potentiometer for adjustment of the output voltage. Turning the pot Clockwise increases the output voltage. While kindly don’t adjust the pot counter-clockwise as the input side is at a high voltage level. Because the pot is single-turn, setting an exact voltage is typically not possible. As a result, the setting can easily be achieved with a couple of percent of the target value which is fine for most applications. This is a dc voltage regulator boost module with a high-power and low ripple.
This module features a soft start, thermal shutdown, and under-voltage lockout to protect the module from operating at an insufficient power supply. Low ESR bulk ceramic capacitors avoid long-term aging concerns and contribute to the compact packaging. The small size, lightweight, low internal power consumption, and wide voltage range make it suitable for different applications.
