This GY-651 HMC5883L BMP085MWC four-axis flight control sensor electronic compass atmospheric pressure combination of HMC5883L + BMP085. This three-axis magnetic field along with the Pressure sensor measures atmospheric pressure and also acts as an electronic compass.
BMP085 used to measure barometric pressure and temperature. This functions as an environmental sensor with temperature, barometric pressure designed explicitly for mobile applications. The sensor module designed extremely as a compact package. It is defined as an ideal precision sensing solution for measuring barometric pressure from 300 to 1100hPa (+9000m to -500m relating to sea level) with an accuracy down to 0.02hPa (0.17m) in advance resolution mode. Meanwhile, as it supports SPI and I2C protocol can be accessed easily with a microcontroller, Arduino, or similar device. An Onboard 3.3V LDO regulator makes this board fully 5V supply compatible.
The HMC5883L is a low-field magnetic sensing IC with a surface-mount, multi-chip module. This sensor consists of high-resolution HMC118X series magneto-resistive sensors with an ASIC containing amplification, automatic degaussing strap drivers, offset cancellation, and a 12-bit ADC that enables 1° to 2° compass heading accuracy. It offers a magnetic field at a range of ± 1.3 to ± 8.1 gauss. Moreover, this module also consists of an on-board voltage regulator IC, which allows a wide operating voltage range between 3V-5V. The sensor communicates via standard I2C protocol. Thus allows an easy and simple interface between the sensor and a microcontroller using just 2 wires.
