Description
A Matrix keypad is a small compact input device that accepts user input and is processed by the microcontrollers. 4*3 matrix keypad has 12 keys connected in rows and columns. A female 7-pin berg connector is required for scanning the keypad and interfacing it with your microcontroller circuits.. When a key has been pressed the row and column make contact with each other, otherwise there is no communication between them. A microcontroller can scan7 output pins when a button is pressed down. And thus determine which of these 12 buttons pressed. This 4*3 MATRIX KEYPAD is mainly used in industrial and home electronics equipment, controls system,s etc.
