Description

The 74LS51 Dual 2-Wide 2-Input AND-OR-INVERT Gate IC belongs to the 74XXYY IC series. 74LS51 designed as a high-speed CMOS DUAL 2 WIDE 2 INPUT AND/OR INVERT GATE fabricated with silicon gate C2MOS technology. The logic AND-OR-INVERT function is performed by two independent combinations of gates in this device. One 2-wide 2-input AND-OR-INVERT gate and one 2-wide 3-input AND-OR-INVERT gate are included in each bundle. The IC 74LS51 is also smaller in size and has a significantly faster speed. As a result, it is quite dependable in any gadget.

Meanwhile, the internal circuit of this IC composed of 3 stages (2 INPUT) or 5 stages (3 INPUT) including buffer output, which enables high noise immunity and stable output. All inputs come with protection circuits against static discharge and transient excess voltage. The 7451/74LS51 is a dual AND/OR invert gate manufactured in a 14−Lead plastic DIP type package that contains two independent 2−wide 2−input AND/OR Invert gates. 74LS30 IC  often soldered onto the circuit card or easily mounted on a 14 pin IC base. Moreover, the 74LS51 Operates at a supply voltage of range between 4.75V to 5.25V. This IC is designed for operation over the full military temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.

AND-OR-Invert (AOI) logic and AOI gates are two-level compound (or complex) logic functions composed of one or more AND gates followed by a NOR gate. The use of CMOS technology in the manufacturing of AOI cells is very efficient. Where the total number of transistor gates is frequently compared to an equivalent NAND or NOR logic design. OR-AND-Invert (OAI) logic is the AOI logic’s counterpart, with OR gates coming before a NAND circuit.
