The CA314 is a monolithic integrated circuit operational amplifier that combines the advantages of high voltage PMOS and high voltage bipolar transistors on a single chip. CA3140 is a BiMOS Operational Amplifier with MOSFET Input and Bipolar Output that operates at 4.5MHz. CA3140 is a single-package Op-Amp that has been frequently utilised by engineers and students for a long time. Voltage followers, buffers, comparators, amplifiers, adders, and other general-purpose applications are all possible with this Op-Amp.
The gate protected MOSFET (PMOS) transistors in the input circuit of the CA3140 BiMOS operational amplifier provide very high input impedance, very low input current, and high-speed performance. The supply voltage for the CA3140 ranges from 4 to 36 volts (either single or dual supply). Internally phase adjusted, these operational amplifiers provide steady operation in unity gain follower mode. It also has an access terminal for an external capacitor if further frequency roll-off is needed. In addition, terminals are supplied for applications that need input offset voltage nulling.
Input stage PMOS field-effect transistors provide common-mode input voltage down to 0.5V below the negative supply terminal, which is critical for single-supply applications. Bipolar transistors are used in the output stage, which has built-in safety against damage caused by load terminal short-circuiting to either the supply rail or ground. The CA3140 is designed to work with supply voltages up to 36V. (18V).
