CD4060B consists of an oscillator section and 14 ripple-carry binary counter stages. It is based on a CD4000 series of integrated circuits with CMOS logic-based binary counters. A 14-stage ripple-carry binary counter and an internal oscillator are included. RC or crystal oscillator circuits can be designed using the oscillator configuration. Because it is a binary counter, the counter value is incremented by 1 in binary numbers on every negative transition of the clock pulse. The reset input must be grounded or linked to a negative power supply at all times. If a positive signal (1 or HIGH) is applied to the current input, the counter or oscillations will be reset to zero.
A RESET input is provided, which disables the oscillator and resets the counter to an all-state. O’s The high level on the RESET line, on the other hand, performs the reset operation. All of the counter stages are master-slave reversals. On the negative transition of I, the state of the counter advanced one step in binary order (and O).
