Description

The CD4069 designed of six inverter circuits fabricated with silicon gate C2MOS technology.  CD4019 features wide power supply working range, low power consumption, good noise immunity, and symmetric controlled peak and fall durations. This device was created with all general-purpose inverter applications in mind. When circuits like the CD4009 and CD4049 hex inverter and buffers’ medium power TTL-drive and logic-level-conversion capabilities aren’t required. Meanwhile, the MM74C14 or MM74C914 Hex Schmitt Trigger is highly recommended in specific applications requiring greater noise protection. Furthermore, diode clamps to VDD and VSS protect all inputs from static discharge damage.

The CD4069 has a wide operating voltage range of 3V to 18V, making it ideal for high voltage applications. Because it’s an inverter IC, it converts logic levels from HIGH to LOW and LOW to HIGH. As a result, it’s commonly employed in logic-level conversions. A voltage greater than 18V may damage the IC in certain circumstances. In general, the CD4069 IC is employed in applications where the operation is dependent on one of two states: 0 or 1. For instance, basic LED torches, automatic streetlights, and so on. Simple toggling circuits, voltage multiplier circuits, and a square wave oscillator circuit all employ this component. It can also be used to reverse the output.

The logical inverse of any input signal is generated by a hex inverter, which is intended as a basic digital logic circuit. When the input signal is low, the output of a hex inverter is always high (1). (0). When the input signal is high, a hex inverter always produces a low (0) output (1).
