CD4089BE CMOS Binary Rate Multiplier IC

The CD4089B is a low-power 4-bit digital rate multiplier that outputs a pulse rate equal to the clock input pulse rate multiplied by 1/16 the binary input. When the binary input number is 13, for example, 13 output pulses will be generated for every 16 input pulses. This device may be combined with an up/down counter and control logic to perform arithmetic operations (adds, subtracts, divides, raises to a power), algebraic and differential equations, natural logarithms and trigometric functions, A/D and D/A conversions, and frequency division.
