CD4512BE CMOS 8-Channel Data Selector IC

CD4512BE designed as an 8channel data selector featuring a three-state output. It can interface directly with, and drive data lines of bus oriented system.CD4512 is a part of the CD4000 IC series. The CD4512 IC is an 8-channel data selector. The IC circuitry enclosed within a CMOS circuit constructed using N and P – channel transistors.

Data selectors are typically used for digital signal multiplexing, picking one of eight inputs and sending the signal to the output. When the Inhibit input is set to a high value, the output is set to a low value. The output is forced into the three state conditions when the Output Enables (OE) input is set to a high level. Normal functioning is enabled by low levels at both the Inhibit and (OE) inputs. The CD4512 boasts a long list of features, including ESD resistance and effective thermal adjustment. This IC is easy to use and may be directly interfaced with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL devices.

Meanwhile, CD4512B-series types are available in 16-lead hermetic dual-in-line ceramic packages (F3A suffix), 16-lead dual-in-line plastic packages (E suffix), 16-lead small-outline packages (M, M96, MT, and NSR suffixes), and 16-lead thin shrink small-outline packages (M, M96, MT, and NSR suffixes), as well as 16 (PW and PWR suffixes).

A data selector is a combinational logic circuit that switches one of several input lines to a single common output line.
