The GY-85 BMP085 Sensor Module 9 Axis 6DOF 9DOF IMU Sensor is a 9-axis module in one board, with a combination OF ITG3205 + ADXL345 + HMC5883L +BMP085. 3 axis gyrometer+3 axis accelerometer+3 axis magnetic field+ air pressure sensor in a 3 in one. This module consists of an ultra-low noise LDO voltage regulator and onboard filters, thus reducing noise from motor and high current.
ITG-3205 was designed as an updated version of ITG-3200 triple-axis digital output gyroscope chips. It consists of three 16-bit analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs) for digitizing the gyro outputs. And a user-selectable internal low-pass filter bandwidth, and a Fast-Mode I2C (400kHz) interface. Moreover, it features an embedded temperature sensor and a 2% accurate internal oscillator. ADXL345 is an integrated, compact, ultra; low power, 3-axis MEMS accelerometer with signal conditioned voltage output. This is the breakout board for analogue devices used for sensing motion and accelerometers using I2c or SPI communication. It offers sense in the range of ± 2 ± 4 ± 8 ± 16 g.
The HMC5883 is designed as a surface mount multi-chip module designed for low field magnetic sensing with a digital interface for applications such as low-cost compassing and magnetometry. These 12 bit ADC enables 1 degree to 2 degrees heading accuracy. These modules are commonly used in mobile phones, notebooks, consumer electronics, auto navigation systems, and personal navigation devices. BMP085 is defined as a highly précised sensor used to measure barometric pressure and temperature. Although this board is 5V Compliant, comes with a 3.3V regulator. And an I2C level shifter circuit and hence can use this sensor safely with 5v logic.
