A gear motor designed as an all-in-one combination of a motor and gearbox. This gearbox addition at the head to a motor comparatively reduces the speed while increasing the torque output. Also known as the Centre Shaft DC Geared Motors as their shaft extends through the center of their gearbox assembly. This Johnson Geared Motor provides torque which falls intermediate to the torques by center shaft gear motors and side shaft dc gear motors, at an affordable rate. This Grade A geared motor is popular due to its reliability compared to “Grade B Quality Johnson DC Motors.
This DC Motor designed as a simple DC motor with a metal gearbox attached to it. This metal gearbox used for driving the shaft of the motor. This motor differs from Grade B Johnson for its very high reliability (mainly of its gears) and the shaft length of 29mm(comes with a hole on the shaft). The Johnson Motor basically comes with a side shaft, known as an off-centered shaft and six M3 mounting holes. Here the shaft of the motor develops metal bushes which makes these DC gear motors Shaft wear-resistant. And also the shaft of the motor has a hole for better coupling.
This motor operates smoothly between the voltage range 6 to 18 V DC and gives you 600 RPM at 12V supply. It provides a higher torque of 4.53 kg-cm at 600 RPM. Also, they offer a wide range of applications in highly developing capable robots or robotic platforms, various automation purposes. Generally, “Grade A Quality” motors exhibits slightly more torque count than “Grade-B” Johnson Motors. Hence it dominates “Grade-B” quality motors at a slightly higher rate compared with Grade B.
