The LM1269 pre-amp designed as an integrated CMOS CRT pre-amp. The LM1269 RGB Video Amplifier IC is I2C compatible. And also allows control of all the parameters necessary to directly set up and adjust the gain and contrast in the CRT display. The brightness and bias may be regulated via the DAC outputs, which are perfectly suited to the LM2479 and LM2480 integrated bias clamp ICs. The LM1269 pre-amp is an excellent match for the LM246X high-gain driver family. Signal level clamping is done on the AC connected input signal into the high impedance preamplifier input directly. As a result, no extra black level clamp capacitors are required. The IC is packaged in a 24-lead DIP moulded plastic packaging, which is industry standard.
The I2 C Bus is used to control all of the LM1269’s functionalities. A extremely exact reference voltage is not required for the LM1267’s typical functioning. The VRef block was responsible for generating this reference voltage. An external resistor was utilised to set the current in the VRef stage in order to assure precise voltage over temperature. As a result, the VRef stage’s output is supplied to a number of blocks in the video portion, as well as pin 21. As a result, pin 21 on the VRef output may be capacitor filtered, providing an accurate external reference. It is strongly advised that you utilise a buffer with this reference.
