LM350T 3A Positive Adjustable Voltage Regulator is a 3-terminal adjustable positive voltage regulator from the LM150 family. It has a 1.2V to 33V output range and can produce a current of more than 3A. These are simple to set up and just require two external resistors to line up the output voltage. Line and load regulation are also comparable to discrete designs. Standard transistor packages are used to make the LM350T 3A adjustable transformer IC, making it easy to mount and handle.
The LM350T IC is a voltage transformer IC with temperature regulation, short circuit safety, and other features. This circuit was developed according to the datasheet’s application notes and was confirmed to operate perfectly. Furthermore, as compared to an analogous IC-based voltage regulator, this circuit exhibits higher ripple rejection and stability. POT R2 controls the output voltage. The output voltage was often adjusted between 1.2V and 25V by changing R2. The diode D2 discharges capacitor C2 when the output is shorted.
The LM350T provides full overload protection, which is only accessible in ICs, in addition to superior performance than fixed regulators. Furthermore, the IC chip is equipped with an inbuilt current limit, thermal overload protection, and a safe area protection feature. Even if the adjustment terminal is mistakenly disconnected, the overload protection circuitry remains completely functioning. The addition of an output capacitor improves transient responsiveness, while bypassing the adjustment (LM350A) pin improves the regulator’s ripple rejection.
