This amplifier module was designed based on the LM358 operational amplifier which is a high-gain, frequency compensated operational amplifier. This module operates from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Thus widely used in conventional operational amplifier circuits that need to be operated from a single power rail. Â The LM358 amplifier has a large DC voltage gain of 100 dB which is ideal for transducer amplifiers, dc gain blocks, and all op-amp circuits. This makes it ideal in a wide range of applications including transducer amplifiers, dc gain blocks, and all the conventional op-amp circuits which now can be more easily implemented in single power supply systems.
The LM358 amplifier module was available in a chip-sized package (8-Bump micro SMD) using National’s micro SMD package technology. The single-channel LM358 operational amplifier module is ideal for providing basic waveform amplification in a project such as boosting a signal from a microphone. Hence it offers again at arrange of 1x to 100x and is adjustable using the multi-turn potentiometer on the module. Turning the pot CW decreases the amplification, whereas turning it CCW increases it. Moreover, an onboard LED is included on the module to indicate the power status.
