LM380 designed as a power audio amplifier ideal in the consumer application.  This module operates at a voltage range between 10V and 22V. This module can generate a dissipating power rate of 0.75w. gain is internally fixed at 34 dB. A unique input stage allows ground referenced input signals. The output is short circuit proof with internal thermal self-centers to one-half the supply voltage limiting. Moreover, the LM380 chips are available as standard dual-in-line. The LM380N uses a copper lead frame. The center three pins on either side comprise a heat sink. Thus makes the device easy to use in standard PC layouts

The quiescent power drain is only 0.13mW when operating from a 10V supply, this makes it ideal for battery operation. The LM386 audio power amplifier used in a variety of applications. It drives loads from 4ohm to 32ohm. The gain internally set as 20 and modifies from 20 to 200 using a resistor and a capacitor placed between pins 1 and 8.
