The LM3886 68W Audio Power Amplifier IC is a high-performance audio power amplifier with 23 channels. From 20Hz to 20kHz, this power amplifier delivers a constant average power of 68W to a 4 load and 38W to an 8 load with 0.1 percent THD+N. Meanwhile, using the LM3886’s Self Peak Instantaneous Temperature (°Ke) (SPiKe) protection circuitry increased the LM3886’s performance. As a consequence, by offering an intrinsically dynamically protected Safe Operating Area, this IC is classified as discrete and hybrid amplifiers (SOA). These parts are totally shielded/protected at the output against overvoltage, undervoltage, and overloads, according to the spike protection function. Shorts to supplies, thermal runaway, and instantaneous temperature peaks are all included.
The LM3886 offers an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 92dB with a typical low noise-floor of 2.0µV. It exhibits extremely low THD+N values of 0.03% at the rated output into the rated load over the audio spectrum. As a result, provides excellent linearity with an IMD (SMPTE) typical rating of 0.004%.The IC LM386 designed as one of the prominent integrated circuit used in the audio section. Moreover, the LM3886 IC provides a muting function that permits the user to mute the music going into the amplifier by drawing but 0.5 mA out of pin 8 of the device. The overvoltage protection circuitry in the IC limits the output current to approximately 11A peak. At the same time, it also provides voltage clamping, though not through internal clamping diodes.  The clamping effect is sort of an equivalent, however, the output transistors are designed to figure alternately by sinking large current spikes.
