This OpAmp Breakout – LMV358 amplifier module is designed based on the LMV358 operational amplifier which is a high-gain, frequency compensated operational amplifier. This module operates as dual, low-voltage (2.7 V to 5.5 V) operational amplifiers with a rail-to-rail output swing. Thus LMV358 designed as a simple Op Amp breakout board has a large DC voltage gain of 100 dB which is ideal for transducer amplifiers, dc gain blocks, and all op-amp circuits. This makes it ideal in a wide range of applications including transducer amplifiers, dc gain blocks, and all the conventional op-amp circuits which now can be more easily implemented in dual power supply systems. The module comes with an onboard trim pot that sets the signal level between the stages, not the feedback path. Moreover, the bandwidth is set to 15.9 kHz by a pair of feedback capacitors, or over 100kHz with the caps removed.
The LMV358 operational amplifier can source up to 160mA and works well as a low impedance driver/buffer. These devices are said to be the most cost-effective solutions for applications where low-voltage operation, space-saving, and low cost are considered. These amplifiers are designed explicitly for low-voltage (2.7 V to 5 V) operation, with performance specifications meeting or exceeding the LM358 and LM324 devices that operate from 5 V to 30 V. Finally, the op-amp breakout board manufactured in a package sizes down to one-half the size of the DVB (SOT-23) package, these devices can be used for a variety of applications.
