Microchip’s PICkitTM 3 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer provides a low-cost hardware debugger and programmer by incorporating in-circuit debugging logic into each chip with Flash memory. The following advantages are provided by in-circuit debugging:
- Low price
- Debugging requires the least amount of additional hardware
- There is no need for expensive sockets or adapters.
The MPLAB PICkit 3 enables debugging and programming of PIC® and dsPIC® Flash microcontrollers at a low cost by utilising the MPLAB Integrated Development Environment’s powerful graphical user interface (IDE). The MPLAB PICkit 3 is connected to the design engineer’s PC via a full-speed USB interface and to the target via a Microchip debug (RJ-11) connector (compatible with MPLAB ICD 2, MPLAB ICD 3 and MPLAB REAL ICE).
