The Protosheild is designed to make easy custom circuits. An Arduino UNO Prototype Shield to build more applications without using any external Breadboard. This Prototyping Shield is designed to facilitate easy prototyping with an Arduino or an Arduino compatible board. These prototype boards are used to build custom circuits as per the user requirement with the Arduino. This Arduino proto shield comes with an SMD area for a maximum of 14 pins SOIC integrated circuit. And an IC pattern is provided for adding DIP ICs up to 20 pins. It is quite a simple and easiest method to solder DIP ICs or SMD ICs on the prototyping area to test them with your Arduino board.
This protoshield also comes with a mini breadboard on the proto area for solderless operation. In addition, it consists of a reset button and an extra general use button. A two 3mm LEDs pads and SPI signals breakout pads are provided for boards with SPI only on the ICSP header like Zero. As a result, the pass-thru ICSP stacking header allows to stack any kind of shield on top or to operate an AVR programmer. Finally, the header pins on the shield allow all IO pins of the Arduino to be tapped and empty solder pads for easy expansion. This proto shield works with UNO, Mega, Leonardo, NG, Diecimila, Duemilanove, and compatible Arduinos. Moreover, the Yun’s and Arduino Ethernets have a chunky Ethernet jack that gets in the way of stacking. You can use the stacking headers included and it will work, just doesn’t sit nice and flat.
