Relay 6v Single Contact Takumi

A relay is designed as an electrically operated switch. Many relays operate with an electromagnet to mechanically operate a switch. But other operating principles are also used, like solid-state relays. Relays functions where it’s necessary to regulate a circuit by a low-power signal. This is performed with complete electrical isolation between control and controlled circuits, or several circuits that should be controlled by one signal.

Relays are mainly used for more control of load currents between 1A-40A at operating voltages of 5V, 9V, 12V, 24V, 48V, 220V. And used in a wide range of circuit components preferred in telecom applications, gas detector circuits, RF control applications, Infrared control applications, small volume circuits (gum relay) etc. Single and multiple contact output possibilities are available.

A simple electromagnetic relay designed with a coil of wire wrapped around a soft iron core, an iron yoke that provides a coffee reluctance path for magnetic flux, a movable iron armature, and one or more sets of contacts (there exist two within the relay pictured). The armature is attached to the yoke and mechanically linked to at least one or more sets of moving contacts.

When an electrical current passes through the coil it generates a magnetic flux that activates the armature.  And therefore the consequent movement of the movable contact(s) either makes or breaks (depending upon construction) a reference to hard and fast contact. In case, if the contacts made closed when the relay de-energized, then the movement opens the contacts. And breaks the connection, and the other way around if the contacts were open.
