Description

This  4-Channel Relay module is designed based on 4x Omron G3MB-202P solid-state relays. This 5V 4 Channel SSR Module is capable of switching  AC voltages between 100 and 240V at up to a 2A current.   A solid-state relay (SSR) is simply an IC that functions as a mechanical relay. Therefore, the only difference between this SSR  with the mechanical relay is that there is no moving contact in a Solid-State Relay. In short, this SSR allows us to control high-voltage AC loads from lower voltage DC control circuitry. This 4 Channel SSR relay module consists of 3 separate terminals for each relay channel

  • NO (Normal Open)
  • COM (Common)
  • NC (Normal Closed).

Solid-state relays offer numerous advantages over mechanical relays. They can be switched by a much lower voltage and at a much lower current than most mechanical relays. This  4-Channel Solid-State Relay Module is compatible with Arduino and hence interfaced easily. In order to protect from the excessive current draw, a resistive type fuse is provided on the module. SSR features longer life, with a much higher turn on/off speed and no noise. Moreover, it offers better resistance to vibration and mechanical shock and better moisture-proof performance.

PORT DESCRIPTION

  • DC +: connected to a positive power source (supply power according to the relay voltage)
  • DC -: connected to the negative power source
  • CH1: 1-channel relay module signal triggering end (effective at a high level)
  • CH2: 2-channel relay module signal triggering end (effective at a high level)
  • CH3: 3-channel relay module signal triggering end (effective at a high level)
  • CH4: 4-channel relay module signal triggering end (effective at a high level)

This relay module offers a wide range of applications in various areas such as computer peripheral interfaces, temperature/speed light adjustment, servo control, petrochemical, medical instrumentations, financial devices, coal, meters, traffic signals, etc.
