Text to Speech TTL Module (Serial to Speech)

Text-to-Speech Module is specifically developed to translate text data, making voice synthesis a no-brainer. Simply attach the serial to voice module to a 5VDC power source, connect a speaker to the speaker output (or 1/8″ headphone connection), and transmit it a 9600bps serial text stream. All your controller needs to do is feed serial strings to the module, which has all of the smarts required to parse the text into phonemes and then make natural sounding voice. The module’s command set is entirely made up of ASCII-based readable letters, and it allows you to switch between languages (English or Spanish), switch between 9 distinct voices, and even modify speech settings on the fly. The module also communicates back to your system so you can get settings, version information and even “finished speaking” flags back from the board.
