This popular  Ublox Neo 7M GPS module designed for the APM Flight controller with an onboard HMC5883L digital compass. Ublox NEO 7M is an upgraded version of Ublox Neo 6M and offers low power consumption, high precision, supports GPS+GLONASS dual positioning system. Thus improve the search speed and reception, effectively reducing the HDOP value compared to older versions. This high sensitivity GPS module comes with 56 channels and outputs precise position updates at 10Hz. This Ublox NEO 7M GPS designed with a plastic molded case that keeps the module protected against the elements making it ideal for use on your aircraft or quadcopter.
This Ublox NEO-7M unit outputs the most accurate possible positioning information. And includes two cables, a 6pin connector for the GPS module, and a 4 pin connector for the i2c compass. Ublox NEO-7M GPS module uses an active circuitry ceramic patch antenna to provide an excellent GPS signal which outperforms the older Ublox Neo 6 series modules. It also includes a rechargeable backup battery to allow for HOT starts. The inbuilt battery in the module also used for power backup and I²C EEPROM for storing configuration settings. This GPS module communicates at a  Baud rate of 38400 and configured to run with APM/Pixhawk systems.
Note:
- An internal compass included in APM 2.5 and APM 2.0 (unlike APM 2.6) must be disabled by cutting a trace before you can connect the 3DR UBlox GPS + Compass module.
- Other than disabling the internal compass, connecting the UBlox is the same for APM2.0/APM2.5 as for APM2.6.
