Description
A Voltmeter 300V AC 72mm Square was designed explicitly to measure the electric potential difference between two points in an electric circuit. This Analog Voltmeter can measure at a range of 0V to 300V. The voltmeter is usually connected in parallel with the circuit in which the voltage is to be measured. A voltmeter usually offers high resistance so that it does not cause the least current in the circuit being measured
The pointer of an analogue voltmeter moves across a scale in proportion to the voltage being measured. A galvanometer and a series resistor can be used to make it. Voltmeters with amplifiers can detect voltages as low as microvolts. Voltmeters come in a number of forms, some of which are powered independently (for example, by a battery) and others which are powered by the measured voltage source itself. Generators and other stationary devices are monitored using instruments permanently positioned in a panel.
