4 wire resistive touch screen MUX break outboard, commonly used with any graphical LCD in the background. In this LCD touch screen, by touching the screen on any point gives the analog voltage output at the corresponding X-axis. While moving from left to right on X-axis, the voltage remains constant whereas the voltage varies from top to bottom. On the other hand at Y-axis, the voltage varies as moves from left to right and remains constant as it moves from top to bottom. In order to get X-axis data output, the select pin should be connected to Vcc and for Y-axis select pin should be ground. By toggling select pin from high to low pulses gives x and y data correspondingly.
To get the accurate measurement of the x and y-axis, follow the instructions below:
- To get “y” axis data output: Connect the select pin to the ground to get “x” axis data output. And select pin should be tied to Vcc, toggle select pin to high and low pulses to get “x” & “y” axis data correspondingly and get the output analog voltages of the corresponding axis.
This 4 wire resistive touch screen MUX break outboard is compatible with Arduino, 8051, pic, avr, raspberry pi and all other microcontrollers. Thus interfaced easily. Moreover, it operates at a supply voltage of VCC:5V.
