Shift registers are a type of digital memory circuitry found in calculators, computers, and data processing systems. Data or bits are entered into the system in a serial or parallel way using a shift register. Data entry begins in one way and shifts locations as more data is entered until the data reaches the output end. The left and right ends of IC are referred to as the left and right ends, respectively. In contrast, data is moved from left to right, not right to left. Alternatively, you can register in both directions to create a bidirectional register.
