Description

The ADG508A and ADG509A are eight-channel and dual-four-channel CMOS monolithic analogue multiplexers, respectively. One of four differential inputs is switched to a typical differential output by the ADG509A. As a result, the status of two binary addresses and an enable input is relied upon. Both devices include digital inputs that are compatible with TTL and 5 V CMOS circuitry. The ADG509A is based on an upgraded LC2 MOS technology that allows for higher VSS to VDD signal capabilities and functioning over a wide range of supply voltages. The devices can work in the 10.8 V to 16.5 V single-supply or dual-supply range with ease. High switching rates and low R ON are also features of these multiplexers.

An analogue multiplexer (also known as a MUX or data selector) is a device that allows you to choose one of numerous input signals and link it to one output/transmission line. A choose line is used to control which input is connected to the multiplexer’s output. By combining numerous signals onto one transmission line, the multiplexer can reduce the number of transmission lines required. In other words, numerous signals may use the same line at different times.
