CD4002 belong to the CD4XXX IC series. This CD4002 designed as two monolithic 4 – input NOR gates designed by implementing the complementary MOS technology, integrated with P and N type enhancement mode transistors. CD4002 manufactured in 14-lead dual-in-line plastic or ceramic package and plastic micro package. The CD4002 IC operates at a wide range of working voltage, a wide range of working conditions. And directly interfaces with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL. The output of the IC always comes in TTL which makes it quite easy to function with other TTL devices and microcontrollers.
CD4002 also has ESD protection and a strong noise immunity. Clamping diodes are used to safeguard each output from static harm. The 74LS30 has a supply voltage range of 3 to 15 volts. This IC is designed to work in the whole military temperature range of 0 to 70 degrees Celsius. The CD4000 Quad 2-Input NOR Gate IC has a maximum propagation delay of 250ns and a maximum power dissipation of 250mW.
A NOR gate designed as an OR gate followed by a NOT gate in a cascade model. The inclusive NOR (Not – OR) gate offers an output that is normally at logic level “1”. And only goes “LOW” to a logic level “0” when any of its inputs are at logic level “1”. The Logic NOR Gate reffered as the reverse or complementary form of the inclusive OR gate.
