CD4023 NAND gate enables the system designer with direct implementation of the NAND function and supplements the existing family of CMOS gates. CD4023CD4023 Buffered Triple 3-Input NAND Gate IC designed from the CD4000 IC series. This IC comes with three NAND gates with 3 inputs and 1 unified output.
CD4023 made up of complementary MOS (CMOS) technology, integrated with p-type and n-type enhancement mode transisitors. The IC also provides buffered outputs which improve transfer characteristics by providing very high gain. In this NAND gate IC, all the inputs are protected against static discharge with diodes to VDD and VSS. The IC operates a wide range of working conditions, a wide range of operating voltages, and directly interfaces with other TTL, CMOS, and NMOS devices. Moreover, CD4023 Buffered Triple 3-Input NAND Gate IC features high noise immunity and ESD barring. They comes with equal source and sink current capabilities and conform to standard B series output drive. The CD4023 IC manufactured in 14 – pin hermetically sealed dual in line package (DIP). And operates at a voltage ranging from 3V to 15v.

Incase, if any one of the inputs to the NAND gate switch to high, the output of the gate will always be a logical low. On the other hand, a NAND gate will yield a logical high only when all of its inputs are set to LOW.
