CD4050 designed as a non-inverting hex buffers IC based on monolithic complementary MOS (CMOS) technology. This IC come with six non-inverting hex buffers inside it and e supports logic level conversion while only requiring a single supply voltage (Vcc). All six NOT gates powered with a common rail, but can operate independently. This Converter IC widely used in buffer circuits and wave generator circuits. The CD4050 device c feature logic-level conversion using only one supply voltage (VCC). When these devices are used for logic-level conversions, the input-signal high level (VIH) can exceed the VCC supply voltage. These devices designed explicitly for use as hex buffer, CMOS to TTL conversion and vice versa. And also CMOS current driver and CMOS High-to-Low Logic Level Converters.(VCC = 5 V, VOL ≤ 0.4 V, and IOL ≥ 3.3 mA.)
The IC operates at a wide range of working conditions, a wide range of operating voltages 5V, 10V and 15V with a maximum input current of 1uA when operating at 18V. And directly interfaces with other hex buffers, CMOS to DTL or TTL interface or as CMOS current drivers. Moreover, CD4050 features high noise immunity and ESD barring. They comes with equal source and sink current capabilities and conform to standard B series output drive. The CD4010 IC manufactured in 16 – pin hermetically sealed dual in line package (DIP)ceramic (D) packages. And operates at a voltage ranging from 3V to 15v. CD4049 is it’s complimentary inverting hex buffer IC.
