CD4070 comprises four independent Exclusive OR gates manufactured in 14 Pin IC with 2 inputs having Dual-in-line Package (DIP). It operates at a voltage range of 3V to 15V and with all four gates sharing the same power rail. And each gate consists of two input lines and one output line. The CD4070 designed with complementary MOS (CMOS) transistors technology. It helps to acheive a wide power supply operating range, low power consumption, and high noise margin.The IC designed to operates at 5V, 10V, 15V, and even 20V. While operating at 5V, it offers a maximum low-level input voltage of 0.5V and the minimum high-level input voltage of 4.5V.
Meanwhile, the CD4070BC employs basic functions required in the implementation of digital integrated circuit systems. The N- and P channel enhancement mode transistors offer a symmetrical circuit with an output swing essentially equivalent to the supply voltage. Moreover, this IC allows design engineers to directly implement an Exclusive-OR Boolean function. CD4070Â features high noise immunity and static protection through clamping diodes.
An XOR circuit designed as a digital gate that provides a real (1 or HIGH) output when the amount of true inputs is odd. An X-OR circuit implements an exclusive OR; meaning true output results if one, and only 1, of the inputs to the gate is true. If both inputs are false (0/LOW) or both are true /false output results.
