AM2301 / DHT21 digital temperature and humidity sensor is a temperature and humidity composite sensor providing a calibrated digital signal output. It offers highly precise, more accurate, and works in a bigger range of temperature/humidity. Using dedicated digital module acquisition technology and temperature, humidity sensor modules ensures the products with high reliability and excellent long-term stability. The module consists of a capacitive humidity sensor and an NTC thermistor sensor connected to a high-performance 8-bit microcontroller. As a result, the product has great quality, ultra-fast reaction, strong anti-interference ability, and high cost performance. Each AM2301/DHT21 sensor is calibrated in a humidity calibration chamber that is exceptionally accurate.
It measures the surrounding air and outputs a digital signal on the data pin (no analogue input pins are needed). It’s quite simple to use but requires careful timing to grab data. The single-wire serial interface protocol provides system integration quick and easy. Thus its compact size, low power consumption, and up-to-20 meter signal transmission range make it an ideal choice for various applications. This sensor module is designed as a 4-pin single row pin package. This AM2320B temperature and humidity sensor single bus / IIC compatible interface for AM2301 \ SHT21.
It offers easier connections by simply connecting the red wire to 3.3-5.2V power, the yellow wire to your data input pin, and the black wire to the ground. Although it uses a single wire to send data it is not as One Wire compatible. If you wish to use many sensors, each one must have its own data pin. This module has a greater humidity measurement range, ranging from 0 to 100 percent with a 3 percent accuracy.
