A Float sensor defines as a simple water level indicator. This water level controller is used in a pump, an indicator, an alarm, or other devices. YF-DN40 1.5 inch Water Flow Measurement Sensor offers 5~200Litres/min Flow Rate used with hot waters, cold waters, warm waters, clean water, and dirty water also. These are arranged in line with your water line and consists of a pinwheel sensor to measure how much liquid has moved through it.
YF-DN40 works on the principle of the Hall Effect. This consists of a plastic body, a water rotor, and a hall-effect sensor. A water rotor along with a Hall Effect sensor senses and measure the water flow. As a result, when the water flows through the valve, the rotor rotates. This results in variation in the speed of the motor. Thus the integrated magnetic Hall Effect sensor in the sensor outputs an electrical pulse with every revolution. This variation is calculated as output as a pulse signal by the Hall Effect sensor. Thus, the rate of flow of water is measured. The Hall Effect sensor is protected from the water pipe ensuring the sensor stays safe and dry.
The water flow is calculated by counting the pulses from the output of the sensor. Each litre is approximately 27 pulses. Therefore the Flowmeters offers a wide range of applications for measuring water flow and is quite easy to build a water management system using the renowned water flow sensor YF-DN40. Moreover, YF-DN40 1.5 inch water flow sensor consists of three wires that can be easily interfaced easily with any microcontroller and Arduino board. It operates at a 5V Vcc supply providing pulse output.
