It is said to be the perfect replacement for NRF24L01 so that it can talk to your Wifi router directly through the UART MCU’s (Rx, Tx).
The Latest ESP-12F ESP8266 Wifi Module AP & Station Remote Serial Wireless IoT Board was designed based on an integrated chip specifically to fulfil the needs of a new connected world. It can handle all the necessary overhead for communicating with your network, such as TCP/IP stack and communicating with your 802.11 networks. It is possible to program this module to operate stand-alone with the For Arduino IDE or with LUA as NodeMCU. This development board comes with an onboard LDR and a WS2812 LED for your projects. In addition, the board comes with a CH40 micro USB module to program it.
The ESP8266 designed as a highly integrated chip consists of an antenna and power management converter. This “Witty Cloud”, the ESP8266 Serial Wi-Fi Witty Cloud Development Board ESP-12F Module. These are designed as a compact ESP8266-based module made by stacking two PCB boards connected by a pair of 8-pin headers. The upper board is designed as the mainboard which consists of an ESP-12F module – where the ESP8266 Wi-Fi microcontroller is located, an RGB LED, an LDR, a button, a micro USB port, and a 3.3V voltage regulator. The lower board mounts the CH340G USB-to-UART module. It allows connection with a computer to the ESP8266 for programming the flash or for seeing debug messages. In addition, there exist other two buttons RST (reset) and FLASH, and a micro USB port.
The main Witty board can operate stand-alone, once the firmware is ready for your project. The bottom CH340 board can be separated and used as a USB-to-UART stand-alone to program other modules. Witty Cloud module programmed with Arduino IDE or with LUA as NodeMCU.
