The FINTECH FT5335M 35kgcm designed as a giant-scale is all about the torque. Also known as 1/4-scale or mega-scale digital servo manufactured from FINTECH. It is capable of delivering more than twice the torque of our strongest standard-size servo, offering up to 550 oz-in at 7.4V or 480 oz-in at 6 V.
This specially updated version of FEETECH’s offers ultra-high-torque, high-voltage digital giant servo. It provides access to the feedback potentiometer through a fourth (green) wire. Therefore it is possible to directly measure the output angle. Thus we can determine whether the servo has reached its target position or detect if something is interfering with its ability to get there. Moreover, this feedback also enables more complex closed-loop control of the servo from the main controller.
The FT5335M operates with standard RC servo pulses. Thereby provides a running angle of approximately 120° over a servo pulse range of 900 µs to 2100 µs. By using a wider pulse range, many hobby servos beyond their standard ranges can be operated. But in our tests, we were not able to expand the range of the FT5335M significantly beyond 120° (the servo did not respond to pulses below around 900 µs or above around 2100 µs). This servo is capable of working with both 5 V and 3.3 V servo signals.
This servo consists of a 12inch (30 cm) cable terminated with a standard Futaba J connector. Here the servo horns are made up of plastic. But in an ultra-high-torque application, a compatible metal horn is used for robust performance. Here the output shaft of the FT5335M is supported by bushings to reduce friction.
 Note: An excess current of 9 A at 7.4 V is drawn by this servo, So please make sure you have an appropriate power supply. For comparison, a typical standard-size servo might draw around an amp when straining.
