GY – 50 L3G4200D 3 – axis Gyroscope Module designed as an angular velocity sensor board that contains a 3-axis gyroscope. In this sensor module, the 3-axis gyroscope embedded in a single chip Outputs data over either I2C or SPI. If the device communicates in I2C, there are handy soldering jumpers available on the board to choose the address. This gyro sensor module also features a 32 count first in first out (FIFO) buffer, allowing you to request the data in batches, rather than having to constantly query the device. As a result, it frees up processor cycles for more calculations, whilst still maintaining a high bandwidth.
This L3G4200D is defined as an Angular Rate Sensor Module. This module features a user-programmable gyroscope that allows a full-scale range of ±250, ±500, ±1000, and ±2000°/sec (DPS). And is capable of measuring rates with a user-selectable bandwidth. These sensor modules are perfect in gaming and Useful virtual reality input devices, GPS navigation systems, and robotics.
This gyroscope measures how much the device rotates around all three axes, in which the user selects and adjust the range. Moreover, the raw angular rate and temperature data measurements are accessed from the selectable digital I2C or SPI interface. This module comes in a small package design and the SIP interface accompanied by the mounting hole makes the sensor easy to integrate into your projects. GY – 50 L3G4200D designed to be used with a variety of microcontrollers, the module has a large operating voltage window.
Applications:
- UAV, IMU systems
- Robotics
- 3D motion control
- Virtual reality input devices
