KA2284 Audio level Indicator

The KA2284 was designed as a monolithic integrated circuit specifically for 5-dot LED level meter drivers. This audio level indicator comes with a built-in rectifying amplifier and is suitable for AC/DC level meters such as VU meters or signal meters. KA2284 is a logarithmic display driver IC. And it is Bar type of display driver using a 5-Dot LED. The display includes 5 LEDs – 3 green, 1 yellow, and 1 red-lit in sequence as the input voltage increases. This LED meter in the module indicates the power of the output of the power amplifier. Also, its functions as a signal meter. The KA2284 operates at a wide range supply voltage capacity of 3.5V-16V, highly recommended to use about a 12VDC power supply. The 4-pin header on the assembly makes the connections easier and quicker.

PIN DESCRIPTION:

• VCC = Connect to 3.5 to 16V
• IN = Input. The voltage to be measured by the device
• GND = Ground. There are 2 ground pins in which the only one  used
• GND = Ground. There are 2 ground pins, but the only one used
