LM2596 2A step-down module is a DC to DC buck converter step-down power module with a high precision potentiometer. It also comes with a built-in voltmeter display and uses an advanced microcontroller.LM2596 is an easy-to-use, nonsynchronous, step-down DC-DC converter with a wide input voltage range up to 40 V. It is capable of driving a load up to 2A with high efficiency. This module takes the higher input and converts it into lower output voltage, thus provides excellent line and load regulation. Along with a high-precision multi-turn potentiometer, any desired output voltage within its range can be set without the need for an external voltage meter. The module also boasts a very high operating range with a DC input supply range of 4 ~ 40V and an adjustable output range of 1.3 ~ 37V.
LM2596 designed as a monolithic integrated circuit with a series of regulators. It can perform all functions for a step-down switching regulator. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, adjusted by the high précised potentiometer. LM2596 step-down regulator modules operate at a switching frequency of 150 kHz. Thus allows small-sized filter components that require lower frequency. This module includes internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator.
