LM350K 3A Adjustable Voltage Regulator designed as the LM150 series of adjustable 3-terminal positive voltage regulators. It is capable of supplying a current more than 3A over a 1.2V to 33V output range. These are quite easy to use and needs only 2 external resistors to line the output voltage. Moreover, both line and load regulation are similar to discrete designs.LM350K 3A Adjustable transformer IC manufactured in standard transistor packages which are easily mounted and handled.
LM350K IC designed as a very rugged voltage transformer IC featuring thermal regulation, short circuit protection etc. This circuit designed as per the application notes in the datasheet and found as working very fine. Moreover, these circuit has improved ripple rejection and better stability compared to the elementary voltage regulator using an equivalent IC. The output voltage adjusted via POT R2. By adjusting R2 the output voltage often varied between 1.2V and 25V. When the output shorted, the diode D2 discharges capacitor C2. It is a 3A voltage regulator IC for DC adjustable power supply(1.25V to 35V), high-performance, with a couple of components.
In addition to higher performance than fixed regulators, the LM350K offers full overload protection available only in IC’s. Moreover, the IC chip designed with onboard current limit, thermal overload protection and safe area protection. All overload protection circuitry remains fully functional even if the adjustment terminal accidentally disconnected. An output capacitor are often added to enhance transient response, while bypassing the adjustment (LM350A) pin will increase the regulator’s ripple rejection.
