MAX6675 module with K-type thermocouple temperature sensor is a digital converter with inbuilt 12 bit analogue to digital converter ADC. It converts the temperature reading into voltage using a temperature sensor. Thus it performs the cold junction compensation and MAX6675 K-type thermocouple temperature sensor. The data is output in SPI-compatible 12-bit resolution. It has a 50mA module current and works with an input voltage range of 3.3V to 5V. The thermoelectric effect causes a K-type thermocouple to create a temperature-dependent voltage. This voltage is then used to calculate the temperature. As a result, the output voltage is used to determine the temperature. The MAX6675’s signal-conditioning circuitry turns the thermocouple signal into a voltage that is compatible with the ADC’s input channels.
The MAX6675 manufactured in a small, 8 pin SO package. This converter resolves the temperature to 0.25 degrees Celsius allows readings as high as +1024 °C. Thermocouple accuracy of 8LSB is exhibited for temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 700 °C. The max6675 includes signal conditioning hardware to convert the thermocouple signal into voltage compatible with the input channel of ADC. The inputs T+and T- connected to internal circuitry reduce the introduction of noise errors from the thermocouple wires. The provided thermocouple sensor has a 4.5mm diameter and a 6mm threaded mounting bolt, resulting in a total length of 100cm when cable and spade connections are included. When the thermocouple cold junction and the MAX6675 are both operating at the same temperature, high performance is attained. Cold junction faults can be caused by heat-generating equipment near the MAX6675. These modules may be used in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, appliances, and HVAC.
