The DC to DC boost converter steps up the input voltage from 2V to 24V to any high output voltage from 5V to 28 V at a continuous current of 1.5A depending on the input-output voltage settings. Since it is a boost convertor the output voltage will be always higher than the input voltage.MT3608 2A Max DC-DC step-up power module booster is a low-cost module with over current and current limiting features. The MT3608 is a constant frequency, 6-pin SOT23 current mode step-up converter intended for small, low power applications. The MT3608 switches at 1.2MHz and allows the use of tiny, low-cost capacitors and inductors 2mm or less in height.
The module has a multi-turn potentiometer used to adjust the output voltage. Since the potentiometer has 25 turns, we can easily adjust the output of the module exactly to the voltage needed. Turning the potentiometer CW decreases the output voltage while turning it to CCW increases the output voltage. The upper limit of the adjustment range will depend on the input voltage and the load. The MT3608 2A Max DC-DC step-up power module booster features automatic shifting to pulse frequency modulation mode at light loads.
The device is able to use low ESR bulk ceramic capacitors rather than electrolytic caps which avoids long-term aging concerns and provides compact packaging.
